Hello

"On The Heights With Stephanie Renee," is centered around Habakkuk 3:18-19, "Yet I will celebrate in the Lord; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation! The Lord is my strength, he makes my feet like those of a deer and enables me to walk on mountain heights!"

The inspiration also came from a book that I believe God led me to just 24 hours after coming across the book of the frustrated and dedicated prophet of Habakkuk for the first time. . .The book is called "Hinds' Feet On High Places," and it is written by Hannah Hurnard.

I'm no prophet but, I felt for Habakkuk when looking at the events around him, wondered where was God working; I, too, have often looked on in astonishment (often inwardly), and not only wondered where God was at but, also with decisions I've made, contemplated on how he could possibly still work. Good thing our feelings aren't guide posts leading us down God's path, but more like indicators that our hearts aren't lined up with His Word and what He has to say over our lives.

Reading Hannah Hurnard's book opened my eyes to see the depths of God's love for me and how He desires to give me the best for my life so that I, too, can tread on the mountain heights with Him.

This blog is my open and real journey of sticking with God through the highs and lows and remembering that when I'm faithless, God is faithful. (2 Timothy 2:13)

Through abiding in His Word and laying the scenes of my life out next to it in comparison to expose the dark places, I find Life and encouragement.

I always have, always will. I pray that you do too.
